Biography

I have been interested in art from an early age. In high school I learnt about the Old Masters, the Impressionists and all the "isms". Colour and design fascinated me and I enjoyed making batik designs and painting in gouache.

Later, I undertook courses in folk art and calligraphy, and botancial illustration.

Whilst working in the public service, I enjoyed night and weekend classes in life drawing, still life, "plein air" and figurative painting at the Royal Art Society, Lavender Bay, NSW. It was not until a "sea change" lead me to Wollongong NSW and allowed me to formalise my art studies.

I am currently studying the Diploma of Fine Arts at West Wollongong TAFE and reside in the Illawarra. I regularly exhibit works at the Karuna Gallery, TAFE West Wollongong and local galleries including Le'pota Fine Art Gallery, Shellharbour Village.
